Cleaning Troll-Filled Gutters.... Helpful Hints for the Troll-Impaired...

Be vewwy vewwy quiet, we are hunting twolls!

The modern way to suck them trolls out of the gutter....lol

Hello? You there little troll? I have some political goodies for you.....

The Gutter girls thought the Gutter boys should have their own business on the side...lol

Well fellow viners and agents, it's almost Autumn again; and time to rid our gutters of the trolls that infest them during the rest of the season. We all know that everyone starts being nice during the next 3 to 4 months in the hopes that Santa Doug, ummmm Santa Claus will bring them something nice.

We are now working on ways to oust them pesky trolls out of our vine-gutters so we can have a clear and open communication area. My associate Doug and I were discussing this last night and came up with a few things. Feel free to add some if we fail to mention them.

1. Always prepare an intelligent, non-insulting repartee to respond to their comments. This confuses them, as they have limited intelligence and have no idea what a dictionary is to look the meanings up. On the other hand, if they have no understanding of what you are saying, they won't know if they are being insulted or not, but to be on the safe side, if you don't know that troll, play it safe on the intelligent comments. Which brings us to the next one.

2. Know your troll! We have all seen trolls running amuck all over the vine. Some prefer the political areas, which are prime breeding grounds for the little rascals. The people that like to hang out in those areas pretty much know who those trolls are and what their behaviors and comments are. One can therefore determine on how to deal with those little beggars in a just and calm manner. This is called sweeping them up in a rug, rolling it up, and having it hauled to the troll holding facilities, currently at the G.G.G. headquarters. They are working furiously, night and day to figure out ways to rehabilitate these poor lost trolls...ummmm souls...

3. Never under any circumstances, bring up any of their relatives, such as their mama. It smacks of incest, and they like that too much. As an example, if one says something about their mama and what said person did to her, the troll might ask if she (the troll's mama) was any good, and did they take pictures, and ask if she grunted or squealed....

4. Never let the troll be aware of the fact, that you know they are stalking you, and trying to get you in trouble with the divine rulers of the vine. If one keeps calm while these trolls are posting accusations as an article on the vine, they will be in effect cleaning themselves out of the gutter for you. Hmmm Self-cleaning trolls.... who knew?

These are just a few things we discussed after I escaped from the facebook games. Yes, I was being held prisoner on zooworld, farmville and a couple others.....lol

Trolls are just "misunderstood". There is a method to their madness (just not sure what it is).

I handle trolls by talking to them like they're lunatics (they are anyway)...I ask them if their straight jacket or tinfoil hat is too tight, of if computer time at the institution is almost over, etc...

Telling them to put down their crayons and pay attention always works too....

Thanks for the light-hearted article! I needed that!

BTW: you wanna shut up a troll? Correct its spelling and grammar! It can't respond, because it knows you'll only find fault with its spelling and grammar on its rebuttal, and while it isn't smart enough to spell correctly or use proper grammar, it knows, on some level, that you are right. So, it shuts up and slinks quietly away to troll elsewhere...

Awww... sowwy... didn't actually buy much. Got a few necessities, had lunch at Red Lobster - but didn't buy much. Had a lot of fun just being out and about, though!

Hmmm... not that I recall. I don't think malls are good troll hangouts. Trolls are stingy and lazy, not likely to hang out where people enjoy shopping! Too much work, if you know what I mean!

I'm sure glad we have a Red Lobster at the mall... it's one of my favorite eateries!

The liberal bird cage lining called the New Dork Times is no better...In fact, I trust bloggers over professional communist "news" reporters, ESPECIALLY over a reporter from the New Dork Times....

Nice try...

Also, its GENERIC blogs, not genetic blogs....

#8: Whats a "troll?" And what exactly does snark and or snarky mean?

A troll is someone (or something) that makes comments that are mean-spirited, often ad hominem, attacks in response to others' comments and/or articles. Their supposed goal is to enrage and then to engage their target in ever-escalating quarrels. Trolls do not want to discuss rationally or respectfully; they intend only to enrage and inflame.

"Snarky" is the same as "snide." It is also mean-spirited in nature and intent. An example:

Innocent Commenter:
I hope I can learn to fly someday.
Snarky reply: You'll fly only if someone shoves you off a cliff!

I hope this helps!

Thank you so much. I have no children around anymore to keep me up to date on things. These trolls sound like kiddies tryin to have fun. Perhaps some entrepreneur could create a new video game for them to play. Maybe call it "Argument of Blood" or something. Thanks again.

Sue, great article and so true! It's also not a good idea to feed the trolls. This is tricky, because they have sticky green boogers and they'll flick one on you! Dodging trolls on the Vine is an art, and I'm working on learning it. I've already been sent to the Vine pokey for a day from arguing with one....but he got banned so I won! I have to be careful because after sending that troll to oblivion.....it was so much fun that it's tempting to go troll hunting! And now that I've done time....I've got street cred so I'm bad!!!

Ok, am back from rescuing my daughter and grandson from an evil troll..... D.R.... I don't understand what that wankan what's it means, so will ask you to translate for me. There is an evil troll town just on the Minnesota/Wisconsin border called RiverFalls, a college town, that kept rotating around and we kept winding up in it at least three times 'til we finally escaped. Now comes the fun part, the legal crap. Uhhhhhgggghhhh, am still tired after that trip. 800 plus miles in two days. Yes, there were a couple rough spots in which I stopped to ask directions, and GO FIGURE, Most of those people in Wisconsin did not know how to get back on the main hwy.

we got back ok, just tired. Have taken J.J. off most of his sugar intake; you know, Little debbies, candy, pop, etc. He is acting more like a regular 3 year old instead of a violent little fella now. I wonder how long it takes for them to get all that sugar out of their system?
